APY
Annual Percentage Yield, is the normalised representation of an interest rate, based on a compounding period over a year. It's important to note that APY is more of a long-shot and is actually dynamic depending on the market.
In the reserve currency market the average APY averages 10,000% (emphasise how insane that is, of course cause it's early, but if you saved a Starbucks ($4) you’d have $404 after a year, $40,804 after 2 years, $4,121,204 after 3 years. And to put it in better perspective you’d have made a million dollars off of a latte on Starbucks before the next olympics in Paris!

APR
Annual Percentage Rate, is the annualised interest rate without taking the effect of compounding into account.

BCV
Bond Control Variable, is the scaling factor at which bond prices change. A higher BCV means a lower discount for bonders and higher inflation by the protocol. A lower BCV means a higher discount for bonders and lower inflation by the protocol.

DCV
Deflation Control Variable, is the scaling factor at which protocol defined buy pressure changes. A higher DCV means more buy pressure from the protocol, resulting in a higher deflation. A lower DCV means less buy pressure from the protocol, resulting in a lower deflation.

Liquidity Bonds
Liquidity bonds are LP token bonds. Examples are BBY-USDC LP bonds.

PoR
Proof of Reserve, is the mechanism of strengthening the reserve of BABYLON's treasury through bonds. Bonders provide liquidity to the treasury, thereby building its reserve. In return for their service, bonders get paid in BBY.

Reserve Bonds
Reserve bonds are single asset bonds. They are sometimes referred to as "naked" bonds.

Reward Yield
Reward yield refers to the actual amount of BBY received by each staker on each rebase. The reward yield is a rough target from a policy point of view. It can almost never be maintained precisely due to things like fluctuating amounts of BBY staked.

RFV
Risk Free Value, is the amount of funds the treasury guarantees to use for backing BABYLON.

TWAP
Time Weighted Average Price, is the average price of an asset over a specified time. TWAPs are used to represent the fair value of an asset as defined by the market.

TVL
Total Value Locked, is the dollar amount of all BBY staked in the protocol. This metric is often used as growth or health indicator in DeFi projects.

LP
Liquidity Provider, is the token received when providing liquidity on pools like Raydium. For instance LP bonds require LP tokens of the BBY/SOLANA pair.

Reward Rate
Reward rate is the configured percentage of BBY distributed to all stakers on each rebase relative to the total supply. The reward rate is precisely set by the policy team.

POL
Protocol Owned Liquidity, is the concept that the liquidity used by the protocol is almost entirely owned by the protocol. This marks the birth of DeFi 2.0 and would be the basis of BabylonSwap.

The primary centre for depositing all the liquidity inflow. The Federal Reserve of the protocol.

Stable-coins
Stable-coins are cryptocurrencies that are meant to be pegged to a reserve asset, such as gold or the U.S. dollar, but are not issued by a central bank. Some use assets such as Ether, Dai.
USD Coin (known by its ticker USDC) is a stablecoin that is pegged to the U.S. dollar on a 1:1 basis. Every unit of this cryptocurrency in circulation is backed up by $1 that is held in reserve, in a mix of cash and short-term U.S. Treasury bonds. The Centre consortium is behind the asset.

Burn & Mint
Mint is the act of introducing new BBY in circulation whilst Burn is the opposite, ie removing from circulation.

Automated Market Maker, is  the underlying protocol that powers all decentralised exchanges (DEXs).
